Gordon Johnson

Master Teacher Award - Spring 1987
Gordon Johnson was the Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology in the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan for 13 years, from 1973 until 1986.
On December 1, 1988, Dr. Johnson accepted a three year secondment with the Federal Government. During this time, he was the first Director of the Bureau of Human Prescription Drugs in the Health Protection Branch and later Director of Compliance with the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board.
Dr. Johnson returned to Saskatchewan in December of 1991. He retired as a Professor in the College of Medicine on July 1, 1995.
Following his retirement, Dr. Johnson accepted the position of the Director of the Saskatchewan Drug Research Institute, located at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
